PREVENT WAR ON IRAN!

END THE OCCUPATION OF IRAQ NOW!

American Iranian Friendship Committee (AIFC) and the StopWarOnIran Campaign are appealing to all those Americans who have aspired for a world without war, to join us and raise our voices in opposition to the recent threats of war and devastating sanctions by the U.S. and Israel against Iran. If the war lieutenants are not actively engaged in preparing for another war before George W. Bush is out of the White House, the U.S. government loses no time in imposing new economic sanctions on Iran to force the people of that country into poverty and despair.

In attempts to bolster the military threats, the Israeli Lobby (AIPAC) is trying to push through legislation, H.CON.RES 362 and Senate, S.RES 580 that calls on the president to stop all shipments of refined petroleum products from reaching Iran, and "demands" that the President impose "stringent inspection requirements on all persons, vehicles, ships, planes, trains and cargo entering or departing Iran," which would require a U.S. Naval blockade in the Straits of Hormuz, in effect a declaration of war on Iran.

We must stop the U.S.-Israeli war machine which may trigger another war that can spread throughout the Middle East with much more cataclysmic consequences than today's tragic conditions in Iraq, Afghanistan and Palestine.

It is our moral and civil duty to prevent the Bush Administration and the one replacing it from gambling on the lives of the American servicemen and women and the men, women and children of the Middle East.

It is evident that any war imposed on Iran opens the Pandora's box that will ignite not only the millions of Muslim and Arab peoples in the region, but will also destroy the continuous streams of oil and gas and profits the United States so much depends on.
