| BAILOUT: 850 Billion? Try FIVE TRILLION This video has received over 500 hits in less than 24 hours. I put it up last night (Sunday 10/19) about 9pm. Dr. Michael Hudson, a financial economist and historian, was interviewed on KPFA radio on October 9th. He says, among many other things, that Henry Paulson should be in jail. This video features key excerpts from the interview, but you can hear the whole thing on his website. You'll find the link in the video info. If you want the scoop that that you will NOT see or hear in the pathetic "mainstream" media, this is it. Please pass it on. Everybody needs to know the REAL reasons behind this massive fraud on the American people. Many WILL be shocked. I know a lot of people will say "Okay, so what do we do about it?" I will never pretend to have all the answers, but I will say that the first thing we need to do is VOTE OUT every member of congress who voted for it, AND pick one of the four electable alternatives to McCain and Obama, both of whom refused to address the bailout in their October 3rd debate (which you will hear about from Dr. Hudson in this video), and then VOTED FOR IT. What does that tell you, people?! Electable alternatives to McCain and Obama: Cynthia McKinney - Green Party Chuck Baldwin - Constitution Party (endorsed by Ron Paul) Bob Barr - Libertarian Ralph Nader - Independent Spare me the lectures about spoilers, wasted votes, and none of these people having a chance to win. There's far too much at stake to be compromising our future with weak cop-out excuses for maintaining the unacceptable status quo. Ross Perot got 19% of the vote in 1992. Exit polls that year indicated that if everyone who wanted to vote for him had actually done so, he would have received 40%. When those who wanted to cast their vote for him but didn't were asked why, the response was that they didn't think he had a chance to win. Clearly, they were wrong. The only wasted vote is one made for a candidate you don't truly believe in. Kind of like when you vote for the "lesser of two evils." | I participated in a candidate forum on Sunday at St. Bridget's Church in Manchester. It's the only opportunity I've had so far in this election to discuss issues in public with the incumbent Democrat John Larson and his Republican challenger Joseph Visconti. With the commercial media focused so completely on the presidential election, there's precious little to help voters decide which congressional candidate to support, especially those who might be disposed to vote for a non-Democrat/non-Republican. The Connecticut League of Women Voters is sponsoring a candidate forum in my district, but I'm not invited to participate because, according to the decision-makers at the League, I'm not a serious candidate. The League didn't tell me exactly what the criteria for seriousness are, but they were clear on this: I haven't raised enough money. I made a complaint, but I don't expect to get anywhere with it. There's some irony in the League's decision. The League was kind enough to invite me to submit answers to questions for its on-line voters' guide. I put some work into the answers, exhausting the word-count limit, and I tried to cram as much information and detail as I could into each response. I visited the site to see what the other two candidates had submitted. John Larson's responses refer voters to his web site for answers (there are no answers on his web site), and Joe Visconti gives brief, general responses with little detail and no commitments. Anyone consulting the League's guide would conclude from the three sets of responses that I'm the only serious candidate and would be surprised to hear that I was disqualified from the League's candidate forum. Channel 3 also seems determined to keep me out of the public eye. Dennis House interviewed me for eight minutes in June on "Face the State," but the station didn't archive the segment for over two months, impeding my petition drive. Interviews with Democrats and Republicans were featured prominently on the show's web site, but I had to press hard for a couple of months to get my interview posted. This past Sunday "Face the State" featured Larson and Visconti, but Dennis didn't call me. At the forum on Sunday at St. Bridget's there was a camera team from CT-N, which broadcasts events of public interest on local cable and on its web site. I visited the site a couple of times each day to find out when the segment would be broadcast. It never showed up on a schedule, but it was broadcast Tuesday evening and again Wednesday morning. There was no opportunity to announce it, and I missed both broadcasts. CT-N, which is a state government agency, has no plans to rebroadcast the 1½ hour segment, nor is it slated for inclusion in the CT-N on-demand archives, linked from the site. Partisan Democrat and Republican events are archived in profusion, but this substantive discussion of issues won't be. I made a complaint, but I don't expect to get anywhere with it. The lesson of all this is not that I'm unelectable. If ever there was a year to vote against Democrats and Republicans, this is the year. The lesson is that voters will have to discuss the issues in this congressional election among themselves. The media aren't going to cover it, and they especially aren't going to give a dissident candidate a soapbox. So when you talk to people who vote in the First District, ask which candidate they're supporting for Congress and why. Send them to my website. If you don't do it, it probably won't get done. |

Issued by Headquarters, Department of the Army and signed off by Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and the Secretary of the Army, the document is affixed with a warning: "Destruction Notice: Destroy by any method that will prevent disclosure of contents or reconstruction of the document." The restricted document as published by Wikileaks states:
History. This regulation is a revision of the original regulation that was effective on 10 July 1989. Since that time, no changes have been published to amend the original.
Summary. This regulation on the Army Continuity of Operations (COOP) Program has been revised to update Army COOP policy and extend the requirement for all-hazards COOP planning to all Army organizations. Classified information contained in the 1989 version of this AR has been removed and placed in a classified HQDA Operations Plan (OPLAN).
Applicability. This regulation applies to the Active Army, the U.S. Army Reserve (USAR), and when federalized to the Army National Guard (ARNG). In the event of conflict between this regulation and approved OSD or JCS publications, the provisions of the latter will apply. "All-hazards COOP planning" is described as the means by which "the Army remains capable of continuing mission-essential operations during any situation, including military attack, terrorist activities, and natural or man-made disasters." While the Army stresses the updates described in AR 500-3 relate to chemical, biological, nuclear attacks, "natural disasters" and "technical or man-made disasters or accidents," current Army doctrine is also heavily weighted towards contingency planning for "civil disturbances."

Alex Jones recently did a very powerful 4 hour show in which he thoroughly succeeded in getting across the fact that the so called "Bailout Bill" that was just rammed through Congress was in fact the economic equivalent to 911.

Jones also interviewed Democratic Congressman Brad Sherman who stated that the bailout bill was passed due to direct threats of actual martial law made to several members of congress if they DIDN'T pass it. When interviewed, Sherman would not reveal WHO had made these threats, but he did make this statement on the house floor and you can hear the audio clip of his saying this on the show:
"The only way we can pass this bill is by creating, and sustaining a panic atmosphere. That atmosphere is not justified. Many of us were told in private conversations that if we voted against this bill on monday that they sky would fall, the market would drop two or three thousand points the first day, another couple thousand points the second day, and a few members were even told that there would be martial law in America if we voted no. Thats what I call fearmongering."
Friends, I listened to this radio show yesterday. Jones was in rare form on it, sounding as pumped up as an evangelist, and he mixes in a lot of dramatic music to underscore his passionate concern. Mixed in with the music and his commentary are a lot of ads for companies such as www.foodshortageusa.com , www.efoodsdirect.com , www.survivalgearsource.com , www.patriotfood.com , www.unveilingthem.com and it would be easy for a cynic to write off his highly passionate message as being nothing more than hype intended to drive sales for his advertisers, if not for the solidity of his facts.
Don't take my word for it, listen to the show yourself, and decide for yourself what your own personal response to it will be. You already know what mine is. On Tuesday night here in Point Roberts we're having a meeting of PREP- Point Roberts Emergency Preparedness Group.
This group encourages local people to prepare for natural disasters: earthquakes, floods, tidal waves- all of which can impact this region- but I am going to make the argument that it should shift its focus to ALSO include the rapidly emerging MAN MADE disaster that is fast moving in our direction.
I feel as though I see an approaching tidal wave that most here simply fail to see. I have been mocked and insulted by some people around here, and by some even on the IAHF list for sounding this alarm. Some have reacted very ANGRILY to what I am saying because they can't psychologically accept it, for whatever reasons. Friends, I'm only the messenger. Please don't attack me. Believe it or not, I'm your friend, I'm telling you the truth, and I'm trying to save lives. Some seem to think I have some political motivation in what I'm sending out. I do not. I am not a Republican, or a Democrat. I don't trust either major party. Both Obama, and McCain voted "yes" on this Bankster Bailout Bill which is the economic equivalent to 911 in terms of being a SCAM,So I endorse neither. I guess the IAHF subscriber who just accused me of being a "neo fascist" for opposing this bill fails to understand this.
I also don't believe we're witnessing an actual election. From my perspective the Bilderbergs decided the outcome months ago at their meeting in Chantilly VA and will insert one of these two individuals and our votes are meaningless. The outcome will be determined by computer programmers and black box voting machines- and the "election" is nothing more than a CIA containment exercise intended to keep a lid on the pressure cooker til they can declare martial law, then move to try to disarm us.
It should be pretty obvious whats happening: the elite have utilized the exact same pattern of "Problem, Reaction, Solution" bait and switch scam for centuries to consolidate their power, and what we're seeing unfold here is no exception.
The Bankster Bailout Bill that congress just passed will spur massive hyperinflation, especially when combined with the additional $700 billion that the Federal Reserve pumped into the system in just 4 days prior to its passage. (This last fact received went unreported by our controlled media, but you better be aware of it because the hyperinflation thats coming is going to make a lot of people's lives a living hell- food riots are on the near horizon, along with martial law.)
But don't take my word for it, listen to the Alex Jones show and do your own research. If you still haven't started laying up food reserves, I strongly advise you to start.
MORE INFO ON SPIZ AND WHY YOU SHOULD INCLUDE IT IN YOUR FOOD RESERVES
Not long ago I told you about a really good whey protein product called SPIZ that I found to be easily digested and which you could live on in an emergency.

While John McCain and Barack Obama argue about how many and what kind of troops are to remain in Iraq, and while they both plan on escalating troop levels in Afghanistan, there are a set of candidates, barely mentioned by the media, who reject the notion of maintaining any U.S. armed forces anywhere in the world.
These candidates—Ralph Nader (Independent), Bob Barr (Libertarian), Cynthia McKinney (Green) and Chuck Baldwin (Constitutional)—have agreed on a set of four principles (listed at the end of this message) that the two major candidates will never touch for fear of angering their corporate sponsors. Yet these candidates, with fundamentally different political philosophies, can agree on these principles because they defy political ideology, and encompass an ideal of a nation that respects its own citizens and the citizens of all nations—and does nothing to endanger the civil liberties, health and prosperity of either.

Nothing demonstrates the lack of alternative views more than the events of the last two weeks in regard to the Wall Street bailout, which saw both parties reach a consensus that the only thing to do was to give the fat cats on Wall Street $700 billion of taxpayer money.
If you happened to watch Democracy Now, or have read other views on the current financial crisis on the internet, you probably already know that there were alternative, more effective strategies that could have been used to solve this crisis.
While CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX and PBS only showed commentators that agreed on the basic framework of the bailout proposed by the Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, other leading and well-respected economists — from a wide variety of political backgrounds — disagreed strongly to the plan that was pushed through congress in a "bi-partisan" way, and the two major presidential candidates.
From Paul Krugman, to Paul Craig Roberts, to Joseph Stiglitz, all proposed that the nation's economy would be much better served had congress concentrated on a bottom-up bailout instead of a trickle-down one. But these view points were not represented in the main stream media, nor were they voices listened to a congress deafened by greed and maintaining the current power structure.
Only by allowing other voices and choices into the mix can the American people find their way out of the policies of war, corruption and greed.

Four Principles Adopted by the Third Party Candidates
Foreign Policy: The Iraq War must end as quickly as possible with removal of all our soldiers from the region. We must initiate the return of our soldiers from around the world, including Korea, Japan, Europe and the entire Middle East. We must cease the war propaganda, threats of a blockade and plans for attacks on Iran, nor should we re-ignite the cold war with Russia over Georgia. We must be willing to talk to all countries and offer friendship and trade and travel to all who are willing. We must take off the table the threat of a nuclear first strike against all nations.
Privacy: We must protect the privacy and civil liberties of all persons under US jurisdiction. We must repeal or radically change the Patriot Act, the Military Commissions Act, and the FISA legislation. We must reject the notion and practice of torture, eliminations of habeas corpus, secret tribunals, and secret prisons. We must deny immunity for corporations that spy willingly on the people for the benefit of the government. We must reject the unitary presidency, the illegal use of signing statements and excessive use of executive orders.
The National Debt: We believe that there should be no increase in the national debt. The burden of debt placed on the next generation is unjust and already threatening our economy and the value of our dollar. We must pay our bills as we go along and not unfairly place this burden on a future generation.
The Federal Reserve: We seek a thorough investigation, evaluation and audit of the Federal Reserve System and its cozy relationships with the banking, corporate, and other financial institutions. The arbitrary power to create money and credit out of thin air behind closed doors for the benefit of commercial interests must be ended. There should be no taxpayer bailouts of corporations and no corporate subsidies. Corporations should be aggressively prosecuted for their crimes and frauds.

Steve Fournier on the Bailout
Green Candidate for Congress Stephen Fournier today criticized his opponent,
Democratic incumbent John Larson, for the congressman's vote in favor of the
Wall Street bailout.
"My question for John Larson," said Fournier, "is which faction of the
Democratic caucus--the 140 in favor or the 95 against--abandoned principle
to cast this vote? This bailout is a patchwork of political deals and does
nothing to address the corruption of the financial system. Voters oppose it
overwhelmingly as too radical, too expensive, and un-American. It amounts
to the payment of blackmail to crooked bankers, who threaten to cancel
further credit if they don't get this money. Credit markets have been
stressed for over a year, while Democrats and Republicans sat on their
hands. Now, suddenly, it's an emergency requiring an unprecedented transfer
of wealth from ordinary people to the rich anti-citizens who finance these
same Democrats and Republicans. They inflated the economic bubble, cashing
in at every expansion, and now Larson wants to compensate them because it
popped."
